If you’re an Ontario manufacturer looking for new markets, Canada’s oil sands industry may offer an enormous opportunity.
Ontario manufacturers interested in working with Alberta companies are encouraged to submit a profile detailing their capabilities on our online Directory of Ontario Manufactures and Suppliers – and energy companies looking for technologies, products and services are also invited to search this directory.
In the three years we’ve been offering this service, Alberta companies in the oils sands have sourced tens of millions of dollars worth of expertise from Ontario.
The oil sands are expected to generate capital projects worth $160 billion by 2020, an unprecedented demand that’s forced energy suppliers to go outside the province for manufacturing capacity.
The Ontario government, in partnership with our manufacturing industry, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters and the Alberta and federal governments, has built a “made-in-Canada” solution, matching Alberta energy suppliers with Ontario manufacturers.
