In the increasingly competitive auto industry, Ontario has emerged as North America’s success story.

Our auto corridor, which stretches from Windsor to Oshawa, is home to six of the world’s top automakers—Toyota, Honda, Ford, General Motors, Chrysler and Suzuki. They produce more vehicles than any other North American jurisdiction and export 85% to the U.S. and around the world. Our auto corridor is also home to 400+ auto parts manufacturers, including home grown multinational giants Magna International and Linamar Corporation.

And our industry is focused on the future. We have hundreds of researchers at 29+ publicly funded auto research centres that are concentrated on developing vehicles that are lighter, safer, more environmentally friendly and economical.
