ONTARIO SIGNS MOU WITH GENERAL ELECTRIC CANADA: McGuinty Government Joins Forces with Global Giant

Ontario signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GE Canada today that could lead to substantial long-term investments and a strengthening of GEs footprint within the province.

According to the MOU’s terms, GE Canada will:

  • Help small and medium-sized companies further develop and commercialize their innovative products and services;
  • Provide GE management and leadership training to 200 Ontario government middle and senior level managers in the next five years; and
  • Establish global centres of excellence within Ontario focusing on clean energy, water treatment, health care, information technology and state-of-the-art manufacturing sectors.
