Ontario is helping Kavveri Technologies Inc., a local telecom products manufacturer, expand production and consolidate operations into a single state-of-the-art facility, creating 11 new jobs and protecting 36 existing jobs.
The expansion will help the company build production capacity, increase research and development, and produce the next generation of wireless products for a growing international market. These changes will expand regional-based exports and strengthen Ontario’s reputation as a world-recognized telecommunications leader.
Partnering with local business is a key component of the 2011 Ontario Budget - Turning the Corner, to create and support 10,000 new and existing jobs for Ontario families and strengthen our local economies.
“Our growing Information and Communications Technology sector is literally spread right across our great province and it’s especially gratifying to me to see ICT leaders like Kavveri expanding in communities such as Kemptville. We are proud to partner with companies in Eastern Ontario, helping build momentum as the economy turns the corner.”
— Sandra Pupatello, Minister of Economic Development and Trade
“This investment is another concrete example of our continued efforts to build a more competitive, innovative economy that will create good-paying jobs within the Kemptville community.”
— Jim Brownell, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry
“With Ontario government support, our consolidated, expanded production facility will help us develop next generation wireless products for the global market. By expanding our employee base, we’re also bringing high-quality jobs to Kemptville and its people.”
— Paul Stevens, Vice-President of Business Development, Kavveri Technologies Inc.
