Ontario is helping Centra Industries Inc. — a leading manufacturer of metallic aircraft components — expand operations, create 108 new jobs and protect 40 existing jobs.
With provincial support, Centra is building a new manufacturing facility where the company will conduct research for the development of innovative manufacturing processes for airplane fuselage, landing gear and wing and flight control components. The new facility will have streamlined and cost-effective manufacturing. It will also feature automated finishing and assembly lines that use eco-friendly equipment and processes.
Partnering with business is a key component of the McGuinty Government’s plan to create and support jobs for Ontario families and strengthen local economies.
“Ontario is partnering with businesses that invest in innovation to increase competitiveness and create hundreds of jobs in the province. We are confident that our world-class aerospace sector will continue to thrive and remain an important contributor to our economy.”
