The VQA Wine Support Program is a five year program (2010-14) that is intended to support the continued growth and development of wineries in Ontario. The program encourages wineries to undertake new or expanded activities to grow their VQA business and be more competitive in the wine and grape industry.

Program Eligibility

Program eligibility is limited to Ontario wineries selling VQA table wines through the LCBO.  Grant payments will be based on LCBO VQA table wine sales data for the previous fiscal year which begins April 1st and ends March 31st.  Grant funds must be used for business development purposes only, such as product and sales growth, capital investment and marketing.  Eligible expenses include the purchase of production equipment / new technology; marketing and promotional expenditures consistent with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario Liquor Advertising Guidelines; and the development of growth strategies (e.g., tourism opportunities).
