McGuinty government announces $6-million investment with AGS Automotive/Tiercon

STONEY CREEK, August 28, 2007 – Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sandra Pupatello announced a $ 6-million investment in the development of advanced and fully integrated bumper systems at AGS Automotive/Tiercon. The investment will help the companies grow their business and create 344 jobs over five years

Minister Pupatello makes the announcement, commenting that with the government’s support, AGS/Tiercon is investing in the areas critical to the long-term future of Ontario’s auto industry including product innovation, leading edge and energy efficient technologies and skills training.

The Minister congratulates Toyotetsu workers.

Joe Loparco, Co-President of AGS/Tiercon describes the companies’ long-term business development plans while fellow Co-President Joe Leon looks on. The audience comprised AGS/Tiercon employees, suppliers and customers, plus local media. The event was also webcast to the companies’ employees across Ontario.
