The Registry encourages the business community and the public to participate in the development of LGIC regulations that affect them.
- A plain language summary of a proposal for a new or amended regulation that is expected to affect business is posted on the Registry.
- Members of the business community and the public can review the proposal and send their comments and feedback to the Ministry making the regulatory change.
- The Ministry considers the input received from the business community and the public as it drafts its regulation.
- When the regulation is approved by the Lieutenant-Governor-In-Council, the Ministry posts a plain language summary of the regulation and a link to the Ontario government's e-Laws website for further information.
Effective April 1, 2006, all Ministries are required to post regulatory proposals and approved Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council regulations affecting business on the Registry.
