On July 16, 2009, MNR submitted a request to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) for an Exemption Regulation under subsection 39(f) of the EAA. The proposed regulation would exempt from the EAA Ontario's transfer of administration and control of Ipperwash Provincial Park to the Canada, for the use and benefit of the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, rescinding the park boundaries, and pre-transfer activities.

Revocation Orders for Four Redundant Conservation Authority Regulations
In 2004 Ontario Regulation 97/04 was passed to introduce changes to the Conservation Authorities Act S. 28 regulations requiring the replacement of the previous S. 28 “Fill” regulations with the new S. 28 "Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses." All 36 conservation authorities have the new “Development” regulations in place.

Highway Traffic Act (HTA) Regulation 628 contains reference to the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA), which will be repealed and replaced with the new Motor Vehicle Dealers Act, 2002 when it comes into force on January 1, 2010. The Ontario Legislature has amended the Highway Traffic Act to prohibit the use of hand-held devices to talk, text or e-mail while driving. The legislation will prohibit drivers from using hand-held wireless communication devices and hand-held electronic entertainment devices. The legislation also prohibits drivers from viewing display screens that are not related to the driving task, such as screens on DVD players or laptops, while driving.
