Amendment to Regulation 402 (Chickens - Marketing) under the Farm Products Marketing Act.
Regulation 402 (Chickens - Marketing) provides for the control and regulation of the producing and marketing of chickens within Ontario. The regulation is being amended to change the method used to determine the minimum live price that producers are paid for chickens. The revised methodology will be based on a cost of production survey and model farm costs. The cost of production formula is to establish a price that gives efficient producers a fair return over time.

Proposed amendments to Regulation 411 (Fresh Grapes - Plan) made under the Farm Products Marketing Act to change the district and governance structures.
The Ontario Fresh Grape Growers' Marketing Board have proposed amendments to Regulation 411 (Fresh Grapes - Plan) that would reduce the number of growing districts from 5 to 2, by amalgamating the districts that are outside of District 1 (Town of Niagara on the Lake (NOTL)). The proposed amendments to Regulation 411 would continue the growers' committee structure and maintain the size of the board at seven members.

Proposed amendments to Regulation 434 (Tender Fruit - Plan) and Regulation 433 (Tender Fruit - Marketing) made under the Farm Products Marketing Act to change the board's name and change the structure of industry advisory committees for fresh market and processing fruit.
The proposed amendments to Regulation 434 would change the local board's name from The Ontario Tender Fruit Producers' Marketing Board to the Ontario Tender Fruit Growers. The proposed amendments to Regulation 433 would allow the board to establish a processing advisory committee for each type of tender fruit and allow all dealer-shippers to participate in the fresh market advisory committee. The changes have been requested by the board and have the support of producers.

A regulatory proposal to allow for the management and land application of nutrient feedwater under the Nutrient Management Act, 2002.
The goal of the proposed regulation would be to enhance the economic and environmental sustainability of Ontario's agri-food industry while protecting the Great Lakes and other waterways. The proposed regulation would provide the ability to land apply nutrient feedwater on agricultural land following general requirements or when a nutrient management strategy and plan have been completed, filed and approved.

Amendment to Regulation 909 of the Pension Benefits Act - Statements for Former and Retired Members
The proposed amendment to Regulation 909 incorporates feedback from the April 25, 2014 posting and the October 3, 2014 posting. This posting describes the proposed regulatory requirements to implement s. 27(2) of the PBA, requiring plan administrators to provide periodic statements to former members and retired members.

The posting describes proposed regulatory amendments that would make it easier for individuals to transfer the commuted value of their pension benefits from an Ontario plan to a plan elsewhere in Canada.

The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 73/94 and Ontario Regulation 681/94 made under the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993 (EBR) to ensure that the EBR and its regulations remain up-to-date with current ministry names and initiatives and will increase opportunities for the public to be involved in decisions that may affect the environment.

Commercial Vehicle Operator Registration Hard Stop
The Ministry of Transportation is amending Regulation 628 (Vehicle Permits) under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) to authorize the Minister to refuse to issue or renew a vehicle permit for a commercial motor vehicle that is required by the HTA to be operated under a valid Commercial Vehicle Operator Registration (CVOR) certificate unless the permit holder/applicant is the holder of a valid CVOR.

Driver and Vehicle Fee increases under the Highway Traffic Act
The Ministry of Transportation is proposing six fee increases for driver and vehicle products and services, as well as introducing two new fees for driver services as indicated in Section 17(1) of Regulation 628 (Vehicle Permits), Section 1 of Regulation 273/07 (Administrative Monetary Penalties), and Section 1 of Regulation 340/94 (Drivers' Licences) under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

Information Required under Section 4.1 of the Estate Administration Tax Act, 1998
May 12, 2011 amendments to the Estate Administration Tax Act established the requirement to provide prescribed information about a deceased person to the Minister of Finance in respect of applications for estate certificates within the prescribed time and manner. The proposed regulation will require estate representatives to submit an estate information return to the Minister of Finance for applications for estate certificates made on or after January 1, 2015.

With the exception of a few provisions, O. Reg. 332/12 (Building Code) made under the Building Code Act, 1992 came into force on January 1, 2014. The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, respectively, administer statutes with regulations referencing the Building Code, or various provisions of the Code.

Minor amendments to the Ontario Fire Code to clarify fire safety requirements for licensed child care programs in schools, in order to support the implementation of Full Day Kindergarten (FDK) in Ontario.

Proposals to Enhance Propane Safety and Minimize Burden on Business
This paper seeks input on four proposals to refine the regulation of propane transfer facilities in Ontario. The proposals are intended to enhance propane safety and minimize burden on business. In September 2013, the ministry and the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) established a roundtable of industry, fire services and consumer representatives. Roundtable members' input and expertise helped the ministry and TSSA develop these proposals for broad consultation.

Proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 484/09 (Grain (Grain Corn, Soybeans And Wheat) - Plan)
Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO) has requested amendments to Ontario Regulation 484/09. The primary objective is to remove March 2 as the earliest possible day for the first meeting of the board after the annual elections. The Commission supported the amendments on July 16, 2014.

Proposed amendments to the General Regulation (O. Reg. 237/09) of the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 1994, regarding deposit insurance premiums
The Ministry of Finance is proposing to amend the General Regulation to change how the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario determines a credit union's annual deposit insurance premium.

Proposed licence fee increase under Ontario Regulation 340/01 (Designation - Ontario Ginseng Growers' Association) under the Farm Products Marketing Act.
The proposed amendment to Ontario Regulation 340/01 would increase the mandatory licence fee payable to the Ontario Ginseng Growers' Association (OGGA) by growers from $75/acre to $100/acre. The proposed change was requested by OGGA's board of directors and has the support of growers.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 332/12 (Building Code) under the BCA. The purpose of the proposed amendments would be to promote the safe design of buildings by appropriate professionals, by reintroducing requirements that certain types of smaller buildings (e.g., certain foundations, projecting signs, shelf and rack storage systems) be designed by an architect or a professional engineer or a combination of both.

Regulations under the Planning Act Regarding Municipal Empowerment Phase II
These proposed regulations would empower councils as the planning approval authority for all consent applications, and subdivision and condominium applications within their municipalities, and would exempt them from Minister's approval of official plan amendments.

Regulatory amendments required to align with the Budget 2014 amendments to the Electricity Act, 1998 and the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998; and other matters.
Regulations were amended, revoked or put in place to reflect the amalgamation of the Ontario Power Authority and the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) into one organization, the new IESO. The amendments were technical in nature and reflect that one entity exists as of January 1, 2015 instead of two. The regulatory amendments were approved by Cabinet and came into force on January 1, 2015.

Updating the Schedule of Noxious Weeds in R.S.O. 1990, Regulation 1096 General made under the Weed Control Act - R.R.O. 1990, c. W.5 (removal of goat's-beard spp., nodding thistle spp., Scotch thistle and wild carrot)  (source: Environmental Registry)
The Weed Control Act and Regulation 1096 prohibit listed noxious weeds from being grown where they will negatively affect agricultural land. The list in the regulation's Schedule of Noxious Weeds is outdated. The proposed revisions would remove four weeds that are in conflict with conservation initiatives. Goat's-beard spp., nodding thistle spp., Scotch thistle and wild carrot are prescribed as noxious weeds.
