Canadian Free Trade Agreement - Regulatory Reconciliation and Cooperation Table
The Ontario government is seeking suggestions for regulatory reconciliation and cooperation opportunities to support its participation on the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Regulatory Reconciliation and Cooperation Table (RCT).

Amendment to R.R.O. 1990 Regulation 761, (Milk and Milk Products) under the Milk Act.
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (Commission) is proposing to amend Regulation 761 under the Milk Act. The amendments were requested by Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) after consultation with dairy farmers and industry stakeholders. DFO's request resulted from an agreement to harmonize milk quality programs in Eastern Canada. The proposed amendments would make changes to the raw milk quality program including animal care and welfare requirements for dairy cattle.

Proposed amendments to O. Reg. 439/10 (Hogs - Marketing) under the Farm Products Marketing Act
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (Commission) is proposing to amend Regulation 439/10. The amendments were requested by the Ontario Pork Producers' Marketing Board (Ontario Pork) after consulting with its producers. The proposed amendments would provide Ontario Pork with the authority to licence weaner hog producers and to collect licence fees from weaner hog producers who transport weaner hogs outside of Ontario, but do not market them.

OHIP Provisions for Children Receiving Protective Services to align with changes to existing legislation.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) is requesting approval to make consequential amendments to provisions respecting Ontario Health Insurance Plan eligibility for children in the care of a children's aid society in Regulation 552 under the Health Insurance Act (HIA) to align with changes to the Child and Family Services Act (CFSA) that will permit child protection services to be extended to 16- and 17-year-olds, which is expected to be proclaimed into force on January 1, 2018.

Minister's Regulation for Mortgage Broker Sector Licensing Fees under the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006
The Ministry of Finance is proposing to create a new Minister's Regulation that will increase fees for each of the four classes of licences under the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006.

Proposed Regulation for Municipal Small Business Programs under section 108 of the Municipal Act, 2001 as amended
Accordingly, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs is proposing a new regulation outlining rules for municipalities proposing to put in place municipal small business programs under section 108 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended.

Review of Special Rules and Exemptions under the Employment Standards Act, 2000: Architects
On May 30, 2017, the Government of Ontario announced that there would be a review of the regulatory exemptions and special rules under the Employment Standards Act, 2000. The Ministry of Labour is seeking input on the current exemptions that apply to architects. The Ministry invites feedback from all interested stakeholders on the impact of the exemptions.

Regulatory amendments related to air emissions of sulphur dioxide and other items  (source: Environmental Registry)
The Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (ministry) is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 419/05: Air Pollution - Local Air Quality (O. Reg. 419/05 or the "Regulation") made under the Environmental Protection Act. The proposed amendments would introduce updated air standards for sulphur dioxide and clarify the requirements for assessing operating conditions in O. Reg. 419/05. The ministry is also reviewing the need for consequential amendments.

Proposed Regulations under the Highway Traffic Act related to the Non-Police Certified Private Escorts
The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario is proposing new regulatory requirements to support implementation of section 110.5 of the Highway Traffic Act authorizing the introduction of certified over-dimensional vehicles escorts. See attachment for a description of the proposed changes.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 221/07 (Community Improvement Plans -Prescribed Upper-Tier Municipalities) under the Planning Act in order to prescribe the District Municipality of Muskoka for the purposes of subsection 28(2) of the Act.
