Proposed amendments to R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 440 (Vegetables for Processing - Marketing) under the Farm Products Marketing Act.
Following the completion of consultations and an economic analysis, the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission is proposing amendments to Regulation 440. The changes promote growth, innovation and jobs in the processing vegetable industry by creating opportunities for growers and processors to work together for the benefit of the entire value chain.

Proposed Regulations under the Highway Traffic Act related to the Non-Police Certified Private Escorts
The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario is proposing new regulatory requirements to support implementation of section 110.5 of the Highway Traffic Act authorizing the introduction of certified over-dimensional vehicles escorts. See attachment for a description of the proposed changes.

Modifying Ontario Regulation 221/07 under the Planning Act Regarding the District Municipality of Muskoka
The Minister of Municipal Affairs is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 221/07 (Community Improvement Plans -Prescribed Upper-Tier Municipalities) under the Planning Act in order to prescribe the District Municipality of Muskoka for the purposes of subsection 28(2) of the Act.

Proposal to reflect amendments to the Employment Standards Act, 2000 made by the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017 to exempt construction employees from Personal Emergency Leave (PEL) Pay entitlement under specified circumstances.
The Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017 amends the ESA to provide all employees with ten PEL days per calendar year. If an employee has been employed for at least one week, the first two days would be paid. The proposed regulation would exempt construction employees from the entitlement to paid personal emergency leave if they receive at least 0.8% of their hourly rate or wages as personal emergency pay. Their entitlement to 10 PEL days per calendar year would not be affected.

Proposed consequential amendments to O. Reg 285/01 and O. Reg. 476/06 made under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 as a result of the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017.
Proposed consequential amendments to O. Reg 285/01 and O. Reg. 476/06 under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 as a result of the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act. These amendments would remove provisions that would be addressed in the ESA, specifically: those addressing the minimum wage rate that applies to a student who is a homeworker, determining minimum wage compliance when changes to the minimum wage take place during a pay period, and prescribed family members.

Amendment to the Benefit Plans Regulation under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 regarding Pooled Registered Pension Plans
The Ministry of Labour is proposing to amend regulation O. Reg. 286/01 made under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) to exempt certain aspects of pooled registered pension plans from the ESA's prohibition on age-based differentiation with respect to pension plans.
