Changes to the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 Regulation 166/11 Disclosure Rules
The Ministry of Seniors Affairs is proposing two minor technical amendments to the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 Regulation 166/11 in preparation for federal legalization of cannabis, which is expected to come into effect by July 2018.

Proposed regulations under the proposed Ontario Special Investigations Unit Act, 2017
If the proposed Ontario Special Investigations Unit Act, 2017 is passed, the Ministry of the Attorney General (MAG) would propose to bring forward a number of regulations to support implementation of the proposed changes affecting the OSIU which may come into effect after the OSIU begins operating under its new mandate.

Proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 to introduce Administrative Monetary Penalties, Re-Inspection Fees and make minor technical amendments.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (Ministry) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 (Regulation) under the Long-Term Care Homes Act 2007 (LTCHA) to introduce re-inspection fees and administrative monetary penalties that would be issued against long-term care home licensees that are in continued non-compliance with the LTCHA and to make other minor technical amendments.

Proposed modifications to O. Reg. 311/06 (Transitional Matters - Growth Plans) made under the Places to Grow Act, 2005 to implement the proposed methodology for land needs assessment for the Greater Golden Horseshoe  (source: Environmental Registry)
We are proposing a minor change to the transition regulation for the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The change would support implementation of a standard method to calculate the amount of land needed for development until 2041, known as a land needs assessment. This will help municipalities to ensure land is used efficiently.

New Regulations made under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991
The government is proposing three new regulations made under the RHPA that would: 1- Identify criteria for the purposes of determining whether an individual is a patient, in the context of sexual abuse 2- Establish additional information relating to the conduct of regulated health professionals that health regulatory colleges must maintain on the public register 3- Prescribe offences for the purposes of clause 51 (5.2) (a) of the Health Professions Procedural Code

Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services: Public consultation on a proposed regulation for public reporting on fire department response times.
The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services is seeking public input on a proposed regulation under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 related to new requirements to publicly report on fire department response times.

Proposed Data Standards for the Identification and Monitoring of Systemic Racism (Anti-Racism Data Standards), as well as potential regulation to authorize or require public sector organizations to collect specified personal information using the proposed Anti-Racism Data Standards to identify and combat systemic racism and advance racial equity.
The proposed Anti-Racism Data Standards (ARDS) would set out requirements and guidance for the collection, use and management of information, including personal information, for the purpose of eliminating systemic racism and advancing racial equity. Any potential regulation would require or authorize specific public sector organizations ("PSOs"), as defined under the Anti-Racism Act, 2017, to collect specific types of personal information in compliance with all or part of the proposed ARDS.

Health Insurance Act - Regulation 552: General
The proposed regulation would amend Regulation 552 to make clear that an insured person receiving in-patient services at a private hospital is entitled to receive accommodation and meals at the standard or public ward level at no charge. This amending regulation would also update the list of private hospitals set out under Schedule 1 to reflect current corporate and operating names.

On January 1, 2017, a new board-governed provincial crown agency, Health Shared Services Ontario (HSSOntario), was established by Ontario Regulation 456/16 under the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006 (LHSIA) to provide corporate services to the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) and formerly Community Care Access Corporations (CCACs) in support of their expanded mandate. Proposed Amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 under the Long Term Care Homes Act, 2007 related to Automated Income Verification
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (Ministry) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 (Regulation) under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 (LTCHA). The proposed amendments would allow Long -Term Long-Term Care (LTC) Rate Reduction Program applicants an option to submit alternative supporting documents with their application form instead of the Notice of Assessment (NOA) document.

Proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 125/04 (Apples - Marketing) under the Farm Products Marketing Act.
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission is proposing to make amendments to Ontario Regulation 125/04 (Apples - Marketing) which adjust timelines for the negotiation of annual agreements between the Ontario Apple Growers (OAG) and juice apple processors. The amendments include changes to the negotiation and arbitration deadlines as well as the effective date of the agreements.

Proposed amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 related to Boards of Management.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (Ministry) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 (Regulation) under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 (LTCHA) regarding Boards of Management (BoM) powers. The proposed amendments would increase the maximum BoM reserve for working funds; expand a BoM's capacity to borrow for operating purposes; and provide a BoM with the capacity to borrow for capital purposes.

Proposed places of use regulations under the Cannabis Act, 2017
MAG is considering new regulations that would: restrict where medical cannabis can be used; clarify the places of use rules for recreational cannabis; and permit the consumption of cannabis in hotel rooms, vehicles and boats that are used as residences and private residences that are also workplaces. MAG is also consulting on post-legalization considerations respecting consumption lounges and designated smoking areas in multi-unit dwellings.
