Proposed Amendments to Regulation 909: Superintendent Power to Appoint or Act as Administrator

Proposed regulatory amendments to Regulation 909 would prescribe circumstances in which the Superintendent of Financial Services would be allowed to appoint or act as administrator of a pension plan.

Local Services Board of Pellatt, Pelican, Umbach, Gidley (PPUG) - Request for the Power of Emergency Telecommunications

The Local Services Board of Pellatt, Pelican, Umbach, Gidley (PPUG) requests the addition of the Power of Emergency Telecommunications. If granted, the addition of the power would require an amendment to subsection 42(4) of the regulation.
Effective Date:  October 3, 2016

Proposed Amendment to Ontario Regulation 178/11 under the Pension Benefits Act - Solvency Funding Relief for Certain Public Sector Pension Plans

The proposal would amend Regulation 178/11 to provide additional funding options to plans that are scheduled to complete the 3 years of interest only payments on or before December 31, 2018.

Optimizing Appropriate Access to Unlisted Drugs and Further Streamlining Submission Requirements for Generic Drugs (2016)

The Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care is proposing regulatory amendments to allow the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program to (1) enable more appropriate access to certain drugs through Formulary listing, which are currently only available under the Exceptional Access Program, (2) further streamline submission requirements for generic drugs and (3) allow generic line extension products to qualify for listing on the Formulary.
