O. Reg. 475/16 was filed on December 19, 2016, amending O. Reg. 331/11 to extend the revocation date of section 6.2 of O. Reg. 329/04 from January 1, 2017 to January 1, 2018.

The proposed regulation would establish a moratorium on the issuance of new or increasing permits
for water bottling by prohibiting a person from using groundwater for the purpose of manufacturing
bottled water or manufacturing water as a product that is sold in other types of portable containers.

As noted in the 2012 Budget, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will end the Province's enforcement role for property maintenance standards. As part of this change, the Ontario Regulation 517/06, which sets out these standards, will be revoked.
