Exemption from one-year absence requirement for eligible trade board and roster of adjudicator members of the Ontario College of Trades

Effective March 28, 2018, Ontario Regulation 421/12 (General) was amended to exempt trade board and roster of adjudicator members who have served for six consecutive years ending in 2018 from taking a one year absence before being eligible for reappointment.

Collection and Analysis of Information Regulation

Prescribing the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) as an "administrative entity" under the Ministry of Revenue Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.33 for the purposes of section 11.5, "Underground economy: collection and analysis of information"

Under the Liquor Licence Act: O. Reg. 719 (Licences to Sell Liquor) O. Reg. 720 (Manufacturer's Licences)

Amendment to Regulation 719 to enable distillers to be eligible to apply for a "by the glass" licence in Ontario. Allow distillers holding a manufacturer's licence from the AGCO to sell and serve their products for consumption on their manufacturing site(s) where the sale is primarily aimed at promoting the manufacturer's product. Proposed amendment to the term contract clause under R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 440 (Vegetables for Processing - Marketing) under the Farm Products Marketing Act.

The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission is proposing a further amendment to the term contract clause under Regulation 440 in response to stakeholder feedback to amendments that were finalized on December 21, 2017.

Proposal to amend Ontario Regulation 445/10 (General) made under the Excellent Care for All Act, 2010 (ECFAA) to: (1) prescribe purposes for which the Ontario Health Quality Council (operating as Health Quality Ontario or HQO) is authorized to collect, use and disclose personal health information; (2) extend the term limit applicable to HQO board appointees who are designated to serve as Chair

Specifically, the proposed regulations would do two things: (1) They would confer new authority on HQO to collect, use and disclose personal health information for the limited purposes described in the regulation, and would establish conditions that HQO must meet in exercising this new authority; and (2) They would amend the provisions respecting the appointment of HQO board members by permitting a Board member who is also designated as Chair to serve for an additional three-year term

The Local Services Board of Round Lake and Area Boundary Alteration.

The Local Services Board of Round Lake and Area (the "LSB") wishes to alter its boundaries so that Fire Protection and Emergency Telecommunications services can be provided to properties currently not located within the geographic boundaries of the LSB.

Amendment to O. Reg. 447/07, Listed Acts - Delegation by City

The Minister of Municipal Affairs is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 447/07 under the City of Toronto Act, 2006 to allow the City to delegate to a council committee the power to designate a private road as a fire route under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 and to make technical amendments to reflect changes in Ontario Regulation 389/91 (Special Occasion Permits).

Amendments to Regulations made under the Health Protection and Promotion Act

Proposed regulatory amendments include additional protection for settings not currently regulated, would simplify and streamline requirements where possible and respond to new evidence and practices to ensure public health programs and services remain current to protect the health of Ontarians.

Regulatory amendments related to air emissions of sulphur dioxide and other items  (source: Environmental Registry)

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (ministry) is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 419/05: Air Pollution - Local Air Quality (O. Reg. 419/05 or the "Regulation") made under the Environmental Protection Act. The proposed amendments would introduce updated air standards for sulphur dioxide and clarify the requirements for assessing operating conditions in O. Reg. 419/05. The ministry is also reviewing the need for consequential amendments.

Modifying Ontario Regulation 221/07 under the Planning Act Regarding the District Municipality of Muskoka

The Minister of Municipal Affairs is proposing to amend Ontario Regulation 221/07 (Community Improvement Plans -Prescribed Upper-Tier Municipalities) under the Planning Act in order to prescribe the District Municipality of Muskoka for the purposes of subsection 28(2) of the Act.
