The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has amended the Building Code regulation to support planning and investment decisions in the Lower Don Area of the City of Toronto.

Expanding Interprovincial Health Care Coverage to Include Home Care Services

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (the "ministry") is proposing to expand interprovincial coverage to include home care services for Ontarians in another province or territory (PT) of Canada as well as for individuals moving to Ontario from another PT where they were insured under a publicly funded health insurance plan.

Amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 to introduce Administrative Monetary Penalties, Re-Inspection Fees and make minor technical amendments.

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (Ministry) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 79/10 (Regulation) under the Long-Term Care Homes Act 2007 (LTCHA) to introduce re-inspection fees and administrative monetary penalties that would be issued against long-term care home licensees that are in continued non-compliance with the LTCHA and to make other minor technical amendments.

Health Insurance Act - Regulation 552: General

The regulation amends Regulation 552 to make clear that an insured person receiving in-patient services at a private hospital is entitled to receive accommodation and meals at the standard or public ward level at no charge. This amending regulation also updates the list of private hospitals set out under Schedule 1 to reflect current corporate and operating names.

Improvements to the Ministry of Transportation's Medical Reporting Program

The Ministry of Transportation will be strengthening the identification of medically unfit drivers by: expanding mandatory medical reporting to include nurse practitioners, in addition to physicians and optometrists; clarifying the medical conditions, visual impairments and functional impairments that must be reported to the Ministry of Transportation; and improving customer service and simplifying compliance by allowing those suspended for medical reasons to keep their licence.

Proposed amendments to Highway Traffic Act Regulation 199/07 (Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections) and Regulation 611 (Safety Inspections)

The Ministry of Transportation is proposing to: 1. Reduce the frequency of under-vehicle inspections of motor coaches as outlined in Regulation 199/07, Schedule 4. 2. Amend Regulation 611 to allow buses, school purposes vehicles and accessible vehicles to use the Limited Brake Inspection (LBI) when completing a safety inspection.
