Amendments to Ontario Regulation 421/12: Barber fee exemption under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009

O. Reg. 421/12 has been amended to extend, for one year, the membership fee exemption for individuals who held a Barber Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) under previous apprenticeship and skilled trades legislation. The exemption will now expire on April 8, 2020. The amending regulation was filed as O. Reg. 68/19.
Effective Date:  April 12, 2019

Streamlining and Updating of Greenhouse Gas Reporting Requirements  (source: Environmental Registry)

We are consulting on proposed amendments to Ontario's greenhouse gas emissions reporting program to refine or remove the collection of unnecessary data. The proposed amendments for the Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Quantification, Reporting and Verification regulation will reduce unnecessary reporting costs while ensuring data needed to support the Emissions Performance Standards program proposed in Ontario's Environment Plan is collected.
Effective Date:  April 30, 2019

We propose to no longer require facilities with existing toxics reduction plans to review those plans, and exempt certain facilities from all future planning and reporting obligations. This will remove unnecessary duplication with the federal program and reduce burden for industry.
