In response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and at the request of the dairy industry, the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission has amended R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 761: Milk and Milk Products under the Milk Act.

Amendment of O. Reg. 421/12 under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 to extend the membership fee exemption for individuals who held a Barber Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) under previous apprenticeship and skilled trades legislation. The exemption will now expire on April 8, 2021.

Under O. Reg 323/07, late payments of the diamond royalty are subject to interest payments and penalties. To accommodate hardships related to COVID-19 and to align with the relief period provided under the Mining Tax Act, amendments have been made to subsection 12(3) of O. Reg 323/07 that would allow the Minister the discretion to assess interest or not. This parallels the s. 12(1) discretion for penalties on late payments.

Amendment of O. Reg. 321/12 under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA) to extend upcoming term expirations by 120 days for certain Journeyperson Candidate members and holders of provisional Certificates of Qualifications (CofQ).

Due to COVID related closure of examination centres for nutrient management certification and licensing, the expiry dates of the 4 certificates and 2 licences issued under O. Reg. 267/03 of the Nutrient Management Act that would have expired between April 14, 2020 and April 29, 2021 are extended. The new expiry date will be April 30, 2021.
Applicants that have already passed an examination within the year prior to April 14 may use that passing grade to apply for renewal until April 30, 2021.

The Ministry of Health (ministry) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 201/96 under the Ontario Drug Benefit Act (ODBA) that, if approved, would align Ontario's rules for determining brand reference prices with the national approach used by the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA).

The Ministry of Health (ministry) is proposing to change the effective date of the regulatory amendments made to Ontario Regulation 201/96 under the Ontario Drug Benefit Act (ODBA) and Regulation 935 under the Drug Interchangeability and Dispensing Fee Act (DIDFA) that would allow private label products (PLPs) to be designated as listed drug products under the ODBA and as interchangeable products under DIDFA (the "PLP changes"), from July 1, 2020 to April 1, 2020.
