The Ministry of Health is posting a notice of a proposed regulation for public consultation from June 19 to July 4, 2020 for a 14-day consultation period as permitted under PHIPA ss 74(4).
The proposed amendment to O. Reg. 329/04 (General) under PHIPA would allow ICES and Ontario Health to disclose personal health information to the MOH at the request of the Minister of Health. This information is needed to enable the Health Data Platform, announced by the government on April 12, 2020.
