Amendment of O. Reg. 321/12 under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 to extend upcoming term expirations by an additional 60 days for Journeyperson Candidates whose original extensions were originally scheduled to expire between March 18 and September 18, 2020, as well as those whose terms are scheduled to expire between September 18, and November 18, 2020.

Amendment of Regulation O. Reg. 329/04 (General) under the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA)

The Ministry of Health is posting a notice of a proposed regulation for public consultation from June 19 to July 4, 2020 for a 14-day consultation period as permitted under PHIPA ss 74(4). The proposed amendment to O. Reg. 329/04 (General) under PHIPA would allow ICES and Ontario Health to disclose personal health information to the MOH at the request of the Minister of Health. This information is needed to enable the Health Data Platform, announced by the government on April 12, 2020.

Proposed amendments to Regulation 552 (General) under the Health Insurance Act, the Schedule of Benefits for Laboratory Services ("SOB-LS") under Regulation 552 and Regulation 682 (Laboratories) under the Laboratory and Specimen Collection Centre Licensing Act.

The Ministry of Health ("ministry") is proposing amendments to Regulation 682 (Laboratories), Regulation 552 (General) and the SOB-LS under Regulation 552, to support implementation of Mucopolysaccharidosis I (MPS I) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) as new screening tests under the Newborn Screening Ontario (NSO) program.

Proposal to amend O.Reg. 509/18 (Energy and Water Efficiency - Appliances and Products) under the Electricity Act, 1998 ("Efficiency Regulation")  (source: Environmental Registry)

The proposal, if approved, would increase minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) and harmonize Ontario's efficiency standards for nine products with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), and increase MEPS for one product to align with Ontario Building Code (OBC) minimum requirements.
