Ontario's Regulatory Registry

Ministry of Health ("ministry") is proposing amendments to (a) Ont. Regulation 45/22 (General) under Laboratory and Specimen Collection Centre Licensing Act (LSCCLA) and (b) Regulation 552 (General) under Health Insurance Act (HIA), to implement new versions of the Schedule of Benefits for Laboratory Services (SOB-LS) and the Schedule of Benefits for Physician Services (SOB-PS) that are incorporated by reference under the Health Insurance Act (HIA). These changes would support implementation of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) testing as the primary screening test, funded under the Ontario Cervical Screening Program (OCSP) and largely replacing cervical cytology (Pap) testing under the program.
Effective Date:  March 3, 2025

This proposal seeks to amend section 316 of O. Reg. 246/22 under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, to add HART Hubs to the list of premises that are excluded from the licensing requirement in section 98 of the Act to operate a residential premises for persons requiring nursing care or in which nursing care is provided to two or more unrelated persons.
