Proposed amendments to O. Regs. 187/08, 188/08, and 189/08 of the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006

The government proposes to amend O. Reg. 187/08, O. Reg. 188/08, and O. Reg. 189/08 of the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006 to strengthen existing mortgage fraud prevention measures in each of these regulations.

Pollinator Health: A Proposal for Enhancing Pollinator Health and Reducing the Use of Neonicotinoid Pesticides in Ontario  (source: Environmental Registry)

There is global scientific consensus that pollinators are in decline in both the state of health and in population numbers. This is believed to be caused by multiple interacting factors such as loss of pollinator habitat and nutrition, pesticide exposure, climate change and weather, and disease, pests and genetics. Ontario beekeepers have also been experiencing higher than average over-winter hive losses in recent years, in addition to in-season mortality incidents.

Highway Traffic Act - HOV Regulatory Amendments

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is intending to make amendments to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) Ontario Regulation 620/05 - High Occupancy Vehicle Lanes for the purpose of the Pan American Games and Para Pan American Games. These amendments will assist the transportation arrangements for Games officials (Athletes and Officials) to and from events via the provincial roadway sections of the Games Route Network (GRN).
