The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 596 (General), which prescribes the threshold value for reporting property damage collisions (PDO) for the purpose of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) section 199, subsection (1). The proposed change currently under consideration will increase the property damage reporting threshold from $1,000 to $2,000.
