Summary of Proposal:
The draft regulation would specify the prescribed plans to which s. 80.1 applies and the parameters for establishing the effective date of transfer. In addition to notice and disclosure requirements, the draft regulation would set out requirements related to the transfer agreement, duties of the administrator and the filing of information with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. A description of this regulation was previously posted on the Regulatory Registry in 2011.
