Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Transportation is proposing regulatory changes to Ontario Regulation 413/05 under the Highway Traffic Act. The amendments are intended to increase harmonization of rules with Quebec, other Canadian provinces and with Michigan. The amendments provide recognition to certain legitimate exemptions under the Regulation but also remove a possible exemption that was not intended. The attached table provides details of the Ministry's proposals and their rationale.
