The amendments to Ontario Regulation 263 under the Dead Animal Disposal Act will allow producers more flexibility in the disposal of dead animals and clarifies the requirements for the transportation and processing of dead animals, including the disposal of refuse from receiving plants and rendering plants. Ontario Regulation 263 was amended by Ontario Regulation 302/06.

Summary of Proposal:
To amend Regulation 263 to allow producers more flexibility in the disposal of dead animals and to clarify the requirements for the transportation and processing of dead animals, including the disposal of refuse from receiving plants and rendering plants. The Act applies to dead cattle, goats, horses, sheep and swine. The amendments would preserve the objectives of the Act and the Regulation.
