O. Reg. 122/15 - General (Housing Services Act, 2011) exempts two transfers from the application of the Land Transfer Tax Act. The first transfer is from Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario, as represented by the Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure ("HMQ") to Fred Victor Centre and the second transfer is from HMQ to Wigwamen Incorporated.

Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) proposed to amend O. Reg. 367/11 - General (Housing Services Act, 2011) made under the Housing Services Act, 2011 in order to exempt two transfers from the application of the Land Transfer Tax Act.

The regulation is necessary for the sale and transfer of two multi-residential buildings developed on Crown land in the West Donlands neighbourhood, Toronto, as part of the Athletes' Village for the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games. Following the Games, each building will be owned and operated as Affordable Rental Housing, providing a total of 253 Affordable Rental Housing units: 145 units in one building and 108 units in a second building.
