Summary of Decision:
O. Reg. 421/12 has been amended to remove the provision with respect to the 90-day period for a new apprentice to become a member of the Ontario College of Trades. This provision was made permanent in the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 (OCTAA) on December 8, 2016. It was also amended to extend, for two years (to 2019), the membership fee exemption for individuals who held a Barber Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) under previous apprenticeship and trades legislation.
