Summary of Proposal:
The Minister of the Environment intends to require Waste Diversion Ontario to develop a waste diversion program for municipal hazardous or special waste. The Minister must first designate materials that could be the subject of a waste diversion program as designated waste under the Act. This is the first step in the process that will lead to a waste diversion program for these materials.
