Summary of Decision:
At the request of the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG), the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (Commission) amended Regulation 417: Greenhouse Vegetables - Marketing under the Farm Products Marketing Act.

The amendments delegates to OGVG the authority to issue classes of licences and authorizes the board to include different terms and conditions of each class of licence.

The new classes allow persons engaged in marketing to choose the licence that best suits their business model. The amendment also provides opportunities for new entrants to access and hold a licence to engage in marketing.
Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
The intent of the proposed regulatory amendment to allow persons engaged in marketing to choose the licence that best suits their business model and potentially remove barriers allowing new entrants to apply for a marketer licence.
