The Ministry is proposing amendments to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Act (MAFRAA) that would, if passed:
•Specify that the functions of the Minister include responsibilities surrounding a safe and stable food supply; and
•Add a new section that establishes a duty for the Minister to provide regular reports on the safety and stability of Ontario's food supply.
