Summary of Proposal:
A regulation to establish a provincial system of licensing electrical contractors and master electricians to be administered by the Ministry's delegated administrative authority, the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). This will replace the patchwork of existing municipal licensing systems. It will create harmonized inspection and enforcement and give the Electrical Safety Authority the ability to strengthen consumer protection and electrical safety.
