Approved amendments to Regulation 329/04 under the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004:
- Permit Cancer Care Ontario to disclose the personal health information of out-of-province patients to their counterpart organizations in other provinces for health planning and administration purposes.
- Add medical officers of health to the list of custodians that can rely on assumed implied consent for the collection, use and disclosure of personal health information for the purpose of providing health care.
- Prescribe new registries: The Ontario Perinatal Surveillance system and the Ontario Tumour Bank.
- Revoke section 25.1.
- Amend s. 5(1)[1] to remove a reference to an outdated cross-reference to the Child and Family Services Act.
