Summary of Proposal:
Under the RHPA and the Respiratory Therapy Act, 1991, the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) is responsible for governing the profession of respiratory therapists in Ontario. Under these Acts, the CRTO has the authority to make regulations on a variety of subject matters, including standards and qualifications for certificates of registration.
Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
The proposed regulation amendment is not anticipated to result in increased administrative costs to members of the CRTO and/or businesses.
