Summary of Proposal:
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation has been evaluating opportunities to improve transportation connections between First Nations reserves and the GO Transit network, operated by Metrolinx, a transportation agency of the Province of Ontario. Metrolinx has been working with Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, which are adjacent to each other and located in close proximity to established GO Bus Route 15 (Brantford/Burlington). If made, the proposed regulatory amendment to Ontario Regulation 189/09 will add the Six Nations of the Grand River and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation reserves as part of the GO Transit service area, allowing Metrolinx to begin serving the two communities.
