Summary of Proposal:
The regulation was amended to add that Minister may issue a scaler’s licence to a person who holds a scaler’s certificate, licence, registration or similar official recognition that:1)is issued by a provincial or territorial government in Canada or by regulatory authority authorized or permitted to issue such recognition; and 2)that attests that the person is authorized to scale Crown forest resources. The applicant must not have had his or her scaler’s certificate, licence, registration or similar official recognition cancelled, suspended or revoked and must have paid the fee set out in the regulation.
