Summary of Proposal:
It is proposed that the following regulations be revoked as they are no longer applicable:
O.Reg. 352/06 under the Assessment Act established the valuation date for 2007 and 2008 as January 1, 2005. A provision was moved into legislation as an amendment to s. 19.2(1) of the Act, enacted in S. O. 2007, c. 7, Schedule 1, section 5.;
O. Reg. 390/03 under the Assessment Act provided relief from omitted assessments for trailers not already assessed for 2001, 2002 or 2003 under s. 33(1) of the Assessment Act. As well, it provided relief from omitted assessments for specified retirement homes for 2006, 2007 and 2008 under the same provision;
O. Reg. 509/98 under the Education Act prescribes provisions to mitigate education tax increases in school board districts in non-municipal territories that resulted from the 1998 reassessment of all real property in Ontario. The provisions applied for 1998, 1999 and 2000.
