Summary of Proposal:
A number of concerns have been expressed with respect to the content of the existing seven year "major structural defect" (MSD) warranty and its administration. In response to these concerns, and after a period of approximately two years of consultation with stakeholders Tarion has worked to develop an alternative framework for seven year - major defect claims. The adoption of this framework will involve amending Regulations 892 and 894.
