About the Registry
The Registry is a platform for the public and regulated entities to access information on:
- New or amended provincial policy instruments that affect Ontario's regulated entities
- Recently approved provincial policy instruments.
The Registry encourages regulated entities and the public to
- participate in developing provincial policy instruments by providing comments on the proposed changes; and
- develop a better understanding of the provincial policy instruments and how to comply with them.
Ministries will take comments received through the consultation process into consideration as they develop provincial policy instruments affecting regulated entities.
Provincial policy instruments include regulations, legislation, policies, and forms.
Regulated entities include for-profit business, not-for-profit organizations, broader public sector, municipalities, and long-term care homes.
Once a provincial policy instrument is approved, its plain language summary is posted on the Registry website. If it is an approved regulation or legislation, a link to the regulation or legislation posted on the Government of Ontario's e-Laws website will be provided.
