Summary of Proposal:
In 2019, the Province announced its plan to establish a new iGaming market in Ontario that is competitive for operators and offers a safe online environment for consumers. The objectives of the iGaming framework are to foster an exciting gaming experience that prioritizes consumer choice, create a competitive marketplace to promote business growth and combat the illegal or 'grey' market, ensure market integrity and safety, and provide Ontarians with robust consumer protection and responsible gambling protections.

In continuing to work towards these goals, the Province has released a discussion paper to gather feedback on the design of the new iGaming framework in Ontario. In particular, the Province is seeking input on the following elements and options for inclusion in the final iGaming model:
• Potential approaches to iGaming revenue sharing
• Key components of the commercial agreement
• Potential categories/types of games to be included in the model
• Interaction between Ontario's new iGaming framework and land-based gaming and charitable gaming in Ontario.

Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
There are no administrative cost to businesses anticipated with the engagement.
