Summary of Proposal:
The proposed regulation would add approximately 255 hectares (630 acres) to the area of land designated as Greenbelt Area in O.Reg. 59/05. O.Reg. 59/05 was made on Feb. 25, 2005 and established the boundary of the Greenbelt Area pursuant to the Greenbelt Act, 2005.

The area proposed for addition to the Greenbelt Area is located in the Town of Oakville, near the intersection of Highway 407 and Regional Road 25 (Bronte Road). The subject area is provincially owned land which is part of the Glenorchy Conservation Area.

The proposed regulation would be an amendment to O.Reg. 59/05. The final decision on the proposal would be made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
