Summary of Proposal:
Since the release of the Strategy in 2005, trail groups, property owners, environmental and heritage organizations, Aboriginal communities, conservation authorities, public health units, municipalities, the tourism industry and the Province have worked together to support trails.

Together we have improved collaboration, increased the number and kilometres of trails, enhanced the trail experience and educated the public about trails. While significant investments in trails have been made, there are ongoing challenges that continue to face the trails community.

Strengthening the strategy provides an opportunity to address these challenges, identify new challenges and take advantage of current opportunities in order to develop a plan that ensures Ontario's trails remain vital for years to come.

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport is seeking input in order to strengthen the strategy. Please consider the questions put forward in the Discussion Paper "Strengthening Ontario's Trails Strategy".
