It prescribes eligibility criteria; classes of a licence; terms, conditions and limitations of a licence or class of licence, including the type of archaeological fieldwork that may be carried out. This regulation is intended to bring clarity and certainty to the process for licensing archaeological fieldwork under the act. The licensing system created by this regulation has been developed and tested with extensive consultation with the archaeology sector.
