The proposal is to revoke section 54 (Board Notice) and section 55 (Service of Notice) of the General Regulation (O. Reg. 516/06) under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, when the amending provisions in the Act establishing a new process for serving applications and Notices of Hearing are proclaimed into force. The two provisions of the regulation apply to the current process for service and would become obsolete when proclamation occurs.
