Summary of Decision:
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission has amended R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 753 (Grades, Standards, Designations, Classes, Packing), under the Milk Act.
The amendments, which align with Canada's national dairy strategy, eliminate milk class 6 from the classification table within the regulation, and reclassify products and ingredients formerly under this class. Milk classification is based on end use. The amendments were made to comply with the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement.
The regulation was filed with the Registrar of Regulations and will come into force on June 1, 2020.
