A decision was made to proceed with the proposal. The proposal was implemented by an amendment to O. Reg 315/07 (Designation of Conservation Reserves) by O. Reg. 94/12; O. Reg. 316/07 (Designation and Classification of Provincial Parks) by O. Reg. 95/12; and O. Reg. 663/98 (Area Descriptions) by O. Reg. 96/12. This regulation was filed by the Registrar of Regulations on May 18, 2012 and published in the Ontario Gazette on June 2, 2012.

Summary of Proposal:
The proposal is to complete boundary amendments for protected areas as follows:
-create one new conservation reserve (North Georgian Bay Shoreline and Islands);
-de-regulate one provincial park (Le Paté);
-regulate additions to two provincial parks (Hardy Lake and Menzel Centennial);
-de-regulate a small section of a provincial park (Bass Lake);
-complete naming adjustments, description and classification amendments, as well as consequential amendments to update area descriptions under a regulation of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act to ensure that hunting opportunities remain as they currently exist, in two provincial parks (Silent Lake and Halfway Lake);
-complete naming adjustments, description and classification amendments to two provincial parks (Neys and Mashkinonje); and
-complete a classification change for one provincial park (Abitibi-de-Troyes)
