Summary of Proposal:
The Regulation amends Ontario Regulation 156/13 to provide the General Synod Pension Plan with one additional month to file its August 31, 2012 valuation report, from November 30, 2013 to December 31, 2013. The Regulation also permits the plan to change the valaution date for future valuation reports from August 31 to December 31. Specific criteria and rules apply if the plan administrator elects the temporary solvency funding relief, including keeping members informed about the funding status of the pension plan during the solvency relief period through progress reports that must contained prescribed information.
