Summary of Proposal:
This amendment extends the revocation date of section 6.2 of O. Reg. 329/04 under the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 to December 31, 2014. Without the amendment, section 6.2 would have otherwise been revoked on December 31, 2013, leaving a gap in the privacy framework under which eHealth Ontario creates and maintains the EHR. One other minor consequential amendment was also made.
