Summary of Decision:
The Province recently completed the Coordinated Land Use Planning Review and released the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe (2017), Greenbelt Plan (2017), Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan (2017) and Niagara Escarpment Plan (2017).
As another outcome of the Coordinated Review, the Province made concurrent amendments to the Designation of Greenbelt Area regulation (O. Reg. 59/05) under the Greenbelt Act, 2005. O. Reg. 59/05 establishes and describes the boundary of the Greenbelt Area, which is the geography to which policies of the Greenbelt Plan apply, and includes the areas to which the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan and Niagara Escarpment Plan apply.
This decision notice describes changes to the Greenbelt Area that were consulted on through two separate EBR postings:
