Summary of Proposal:
The preliminary management statement was developed recognizing the significance of Chapleau-Nemegosenda Rivers Provincial Park's cultural, recreational, and natural heritage within Ontario's protected area system, and will ensure that the relationship of the park within the larger landscape is properly considered. The preliminary management statement describes park zoning that will be used to indicate, for example, authorized access areas for the park and to protect historical and wilderness values. It also outlines implementation priorities for the park. The preliminary management statement uses an adaptive approach, looking forward for a 20-year period, with adjustment as necessary.
