Summary of Decision:
The government of Ontario approved the regulatory amendments to adopt the Electrical Distribution Safety regulation, which comes into effect on October 1, 2017.

Summary of Proposal:
The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services is proposing amendments to the Electrical Distribution Safety regulation (O. Reg. 22/04) under Part VIII of the Electricity Act, 1998.
Please see the attachment for further details on the proposed amendments and questions for consideration.
If the regulatory amendments are approved by the government, it is anticipated that they will come into effect on July 1, 2017.
The ministry welcomes feedback on these proposed amendments and encourages anyone interested to provide comments on the proposal.
